The scenes of his estate and mansion were filmed at Biltmore, Asheville, North Carolina.
But where was the estate and mansion fictionally located in the film? Biltmore has been used in other movies and tv shows.
In The Private Eyes (1980) Biltmore stood in for a mansion and estate in England, so obviously Verger's estate could fictionally be thousands of miles from North Carolina in Hannibal (2001).
