Sadako's face

Were we supoosed to see Sadako's face as the plastercine model we saw at the end of the movie in the well? Damn, that nearly spoiled it for me! The end should have her real face. The plastercine just brought a bit of Ray Harryhausen to it for me. :O(

Yeah, the plastecine face was just laughable, totally ruined any tension that had been built up, they could have done so much better.

I thought that was one of the highlights of the movie. XD I was laughing my head off at that. Also one of the other highlights was the woman in blue's face when Masami caused the TV to show the well and Sadako crawling out of it.

In Ring you only really see Sadako's face when she's coming to collect Ryuji, she's very messed up at this point, in life she was stunningly pretty, the model head is showing what she looked like in life (although it's not a great model anyway) Watch Ring 0

yep, that's birthday (I'm not going to get into the madness that is the imdb's phonetic translations)
It's a prequel, and based on a short story by Koji Suzuki (have you read the books btw?)
A cuddly Sadako! I want one! *snatches doll and runs off giggling*

What I took from it is the Sadako we see in the end is the result of the reconstruction the forensic guys did, which was later sent off to sea. When her casket reappears in the pool later, she opens it and since that was the actual setting they were in while thinking they were in a well, that is the figure we see. That's my best guess. I really did not want to see that eye again in the first place, did you?? hahaha

I actually Jumped and screamed when Sadako's face showed.

Why are you the only one saved?- Sadako, RINGU 2

After seeing the movie, I was a little puzzled as to why when at the end and we finally see Sadako she has that weird mask on, and I have an idea for it. The old guy ( I forget his name, ) pushes her 'coffin' back in the water, that re-releases her somehow and since they took her body out before, it put her back in as how they made her look...weird mask and all. That or maybe after so long she doesn't have a face anymore and that was just floating around . Anyone agree?

Mai fell into the water which was containing all of Sadako's anger, and the fear that it inspired. Perhaps the image that scared Mai most was that stupid plaster face-sculpt of Sadako? (I'm sure the director incorporated the face-sculpt element into the movie in the first place because it looks kinda creepy and he figured some viewers would be really afraid of it, so maybe Mai was, too?) Maybe that's why she saw THAT, when she fell into a pool of anger/fear?

Maybe Sadako figured it might be a good way to strike fear into Mai? And maybe she gambled wrongly?
