Is it me or does Mai say "nice catch" when she's playing with Yoichi????

yes she does. baseball is very popular in japan and they didn't just import the game but a lot of the english phrases that go with it.

Yeah... I guess it still applies. It was rather silly... But then again, I don't give a damn what Mai does, I was too busy wathcing Yoichi.

Ya, I didn't give a flying *beep* what Mai did too. In fact The entire movie I was watching Yoichi as well.

I bought the new DVD last year and just skipped scenes that had Mai in it. It still made just as much sense with her. As for Yoichi, that kid was so evil looking at times, yet he was such a cute little kid that you hoped he'd kill a few more people with his powers to make it entertaining.

Talk about poison glazed in chocolate.

Yes..? The Japanese use HUNDREDS of English phrases all the time (bye-bye, good luck, good timing to name a few). English speakers borrow phrases from other languages too. We aren't french, but we say bon apettite. We arent german, but we say gezundheit (sp?).
