The version that I have if this movies has horrible and gramatical incorrect subtitles. The names of the characters are translated literally, for example sadakko is transalated as " the son of", so I am confused. Can anyone make a list of the names of the characters and its translation in the english subtitles?
For example:
Sadakko = the son of
that's a request i've not heard before! your version is translated into english!? I know my version doesn't use those names. if, instead of people referring to sadako (one 'k') as 'sadako', they say 'the son of' everytime then that's some really over-zealous translating!! I'm affraid i've never come across japanese names being translated literally in subtitles so i can't help you translate them back but there's a cast list here http://www.theringworld.com/ring2.php if that helps...

My version has english subtitles and it is not translated. The names of characters not appears in the subtitle, appears its meaning literally. For example if someone in the movie says the name Sadakko, in the subtitles appears "son of" and the rest of the sentence(bad redacted). So it confuse me when they talk because I dont know to who they are refering.
