When I was in high school, we watched this movie and filled out a worksheet on it. One of the questions we were asked was "What was the significance of the colour red in this movie?" I didn't really know, so I just made something up, but I was curious as to what the answer was. Anyway, it turned out the movie was just an excuse to keep the kids busy for a couple hours so the teacher could catch up on her work, and she never even marked the worksheet. So now I'm really curious: What IS the significance of the colour red?

I think it resembles his past or perhaps a non-cynical worldview. Watching this movie as a kid i never picked up on it but just now i was watching and noticed hence why im in this forum right now haha.
