Probably THEE WORST entry of ALL the Halloweens!!

I cannot tell you just how much I LOATHE this so-called film! It is rife with idiot "stars" and a preposterous plot.

The Myers home is turned into a manse with a maze of hidden underground catacombs - who knew???????!!

Then we have idiot people ,who thankfully get dispatched quickly , and it really pleases most of us.

I just did a 2 day marathon of all 9 films and I stopped watching Resurrection after the opening scene. It feels good to skip Busta Rhymes and go directly to the much superior 2018 film.

reply

Absolutely! Sure, we love Michael Myers but we have to have SOME KIND of a believable plot, able to hold our interest !

reply

I'm like Ramboraph4life (on YouTube). The opening is the worst part of the movie. The whole Busta Rhymes stuff is the better part of the movie. He and I enjoy the Busta Rhymes stuff more than the opening stuff with Jamie Lee Curtis.

I grapple between this and Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 as worst.

reply

Oh man I can’t and WONT count Zombie’s most awful “films”!! Simply awful 😩

reply

Between this , Zombies Halloween 2 and 6, I think.

But 6 was kind of amusingly ridiculous and out there.

reply

It's better than The Curse of Michael Myers, RZ Halloween II, Halloween Kills and especially Halloween Ends.

Halloween Ends takes the shitcrown.

reply

As bad as resurrection is, and it's plenty bad, Halloween ends is even worse! A complete abomination of a film

reply

“Ends” is really bad. I was truly disgusted by the entire thing!

Who the HELL wants to see the stupid-ass kid almost the entire movie!!!

For me, I'd say Halloween 5 or the Rob Zombie movies are the worst. Depends on if we are including the Rob Zombie movies or not. I know some will say all Halloween movies except Rob Zombie movies when ranking the Halloween movies. So Halloween 5 would be last unless we are including the Rob Zombie movies. Then probably Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 would be last since I can watch 2007 more than the sequel. But I enjoy Resurrection. I find it a fun movie. I'd put it higher than Halloween 5 because Halloween 5 feels like its never going to end. The movie feels like a 3-4 hour movie, although it's the same runtime as a majority of the Halloween movies. But Resurrection flies by for me. Also, rap is one of my favorite genres, so I do like Busta Rhymes/can tolerate him in the movie. It's possible there is some biased opinion in there. But how often is there a final guy in a slasher movie (well, Resurrection has a final girl too), a rapper that lives (normally they kill off rappers in slasher movies), and a black guy that makes it out in the end? Busta Rhymes is all three of those in one, and I liked they changed it up a little instead of a sole survivor that is a female aka final girl. Oh, I'm not black by the way. So I don't like Resurrection because of representation and a person of my skin color lives for once. I'm a mix of white and Native American, so don't bother with the "because you are black" argument.

But I find Resurrection fun and entertaining. More entertaining and stuff than Halloween 5. Well, I can still watch Halloween 5, but I have to prepare for a much slower paced Halloween movie, and one that is less eventful. I'd say Resurrection has better kills/deaths than Halloween 5 too. It's definitely not the worst. For me, the worst goes to Halloween 5 or the Rob Zombie movies. Resurrection does have issues though. I'm not saying it's a perfect movie, and it's not my favorite Halloween movie. I'm just saying I like it overall.
