I wasn't quite sure about how the two sets of parents were related. My impression is that Laurent's mother and Marc's father are siblings. It also seemed curious to me that Marc's sister wasn't more a part of the story.

I've noticed Marc's dad and Laurent's mum usually sit next to each other, so I think they are the siblings.
