Gone with the wind...talkers

I can't believe there is anybody commenting on this turkey: good, bad or indifferent. The film was a waste of allot of things: talent, money, my admission ticket, my time and if I bought popcorn that too. I tried to walk out several times but kept hoping that by some miracle it would get better. But, alas there was in the end no hope. I wish I had waited for the DVD so I could have turned it off.

I was particularly astounded by the comments regarding the "hilarity" of the film. I could barely keep from crying, how on earth did you find something funny in this tragic film. (I'm not talking about the tragic story I'm talking about the tragic film) For me the worst part is that I learned nothing about the Native American Code Talkers...nothing. I sincerely hope that all of the people responsible for this film are never given the opportunity to work on another project.

I never saw a John Woo film before (or since) so had no expectations of the "action" the film would provide. The amateurish and silly action was so bad that I thought it was purposeful so it would not shock the audience.

This film was advertised long before it was released and in retrospect it is likely they could not figure how to edit the film to salvage it. The long expectation only made viewing the final product that much more disappointing.

Mr. Cage should have hung up his acting long before this film and producers should have avoided him at all costs after seeing this awful performance. Mr. Slater's career took a terrible beating in my estimation. I felt sorry for Adam Beach in this miserable role and was glad to see him redeemed as an actor in Flags of Our Fathers.
