Continuing the prime James Bond Timeline

Just finished watching The Untouchables. Terrific film with Connery playing the elder statesman buddy to the lead man once again (Highlander, The Rock, etc). It's brilliant because he's always like Bond but at the end of the day, he isn't actually Bond...

Anyway, that could be remedied by bringing back Brosnan and actually having a bona fide older Bond playing the sidekick to the new younger star.

The producers are no doubt desperately trying to work out how they can bring in a female lead and this is the way - just get Brosnan's retired Bond to come in and help her sort out some corruption rooted in the Secret Service. They could link it in with some villain from Bond's past, so we could get a de-aged Brosnan pre opening credits sequence.
