Call me strange...but I am so fascinated when they use their powers for basic everyday stuff. Not just for combat or grandiose rescue. In one ep they needed a TV reception..so kitty held up the TV ...Bobby froze her...then she walked through the ice while her ice statue was holding the TV ...to me that's cooler than fight scenes...

I really love this show! It's what got me into X-men when I was a kid.
I would love to have a scene of professor X playing cards and then having to promise he isnt reading minds when playing his hand
I'm totally with you. And it really helps that the animation is very good for a tv show too. I'm trying to think of a good example, but I can't remember any at the moment. I just know that I used to love the slow episodes where they didn't have to fight too much, those had the most of the little moments like that. The cruise ship episode for example is full of them.
