Been binge watching this on YouTube.
And I've really been enjoying it. Just finished season 2 and things have really picked up! Wish it wasn't canceled when it was:(
shareI love Evolution. My favorite X-Men or Marvel animated series and one of my favorite animated series period (probably tied with Gargoyles).
The show doesn't get the credit it deserves. People who love the 90s show always tend to hate this UNTIL they get to the end of season 2 like you did. Then I notice pretty much everyone who has seen the show enjoys it. Yeah, the first two seasons are more or less weak but when I rewatch the series I always trudge through the weak episodes. The end of season 2 and the final 2 seasons more than make up for it.
And yeah, the show didn't deserve to be cancelled. Now the 90s show did. The last six or so episodes were so juvenile and really poorly written. Wolverine and the X-Men also didn't deserve to be cancelled. Like Evolution, it wasgetting insanely good and going really strong and then gets cancelled.
And I honesly see no future X-Men series on the horizon. Not now that Disney owns Marvel... if we did it would probably be terrible and again, juvenile.
No road goes on forever.
