Why was Colossus evil?

He wasn't evil. Magneto forced Colossus to join the Acolytes by holding Colossus' family hostage in Russia. We first get a hint of Colossus being an unwilling Acolyte in the episode Mainstream (Season 3).

Thanks for answering that! I was wondering the same thing and I did see an episode where Colossus tells Wolverine that he was forced to work for Magneto, but I wasn't sure what it was since I haven't watched this show for ages. Did the X-Men ever rescued Colossus' family? I'm asking because I haven't seen the last few episodes of X-Men Evolution yet.

Hi Dragonsonic,

We never actually see any episodes where the X-Men rescue Colossus' family. In the Season 4 episode Cajun Spice, Pyro tells Wolverine that Colossus had gone back to Russia, so he must've tried to save his family, but we don't know if he was successful.

I can't really go into more detail without spoiling Season 4 for you.

However ...

There is one spoiler here: in the series finale, Colossus is seen as a member of the X-Men, so presumably they helped him rescue his family and he was free of Magneto.

Wish it hadn't been canceled. Would've been cool to have seen the Phoenix beyond Prof X's glimpse of the future for all the mutants.

Hi again Dragonsonic!

I agree, I wish there'd been more episodes with Colossus, too. I kinda like his character. There was a tiny nod to the Colossus/Shadowcat romance at the beginning of Season Four, but they didn't do anything further with it.

Maybe they would have if there'd been more seasons.

I do miss that show sometimes.

I miss this show too! Hopefully, the next X-Men series will feature him more.
