I have a question(contains spoilers)
Why did yami lose all of his memory when he used magic to transfer his entire spirit out of his body and into that puzzle?I never got that.Can someone explain this to me?

shareEgyptians believed that a name holds power and without their name, they become a forgotten soul, which is why it's carved onto their sarcophagus or somewhere in their tomb. When Atem used his name to seal away Zorc, he lost it, thus he lost his memories and his spirit became sealed in the Millennium Puzzle when he died just after sealing away Zorc.
