Is anybody else bothered by the fact that Bruce Willis is giving a highly improper salute in the movie poster? I find the same problem with most actors playing military roles. They either salute like they're shading their eyes or else raise/drop the arms too slowly.

I'm bothered by his salute a little. I am also bothered when I see uniforms that do not conform to the regulation. I am also bothered by movies that make the military look like buffoons. But I also know that Hollywood isn't known for making things accurate so long as it makes money. And most of Hollywood is so liberal they dislike the military. So, oh well.
