The Best Book About Americans in German POW Camps

The best book about Americans in German POW camps is "The Flame Keepers" by Ned Handy and Kemp Battle. It is a first hand account of the day to day existence in a German POW camp and it has numerous photos. "The Flame Keepers" is usually available on Amazon and Ebay and the price is usually under $10.

I know that most people believe that "The Great Escape" is the best book about POWs, but "The Flame Keepers" should be read by anyone who is interested in this subject.
