Family connection to Katzenbach

I do not know if the author monitors this site but I have an interesting family connection. My father Francis Finnegan was a POW in the same camp that Nicholas Katzenbach was in during world war II. I believe the camp was in Moosburg Germany. He often commented on Nicholas as my dad was a graduate of Harvard Law School and a bank executive . My father often put us to sleep at night with POW stories. My twin brother still has the original yearbook from the camp that describes life at the prison. It also has the memorial page outlining the prisoners that were executed as a result of the esacape attempt that became the basis for the movie THE GREAT ESCAPE. His stay at the prison was as a result of being shot down in the desert of North Africa as a pilot of a B25. Before his passing in 1991 at the age of 75, he attended a reunion of the pilots at the air force academy in Colorado. HARTS WAR in alot of respects is amore realistic portrayal of life at the camp then the GREAT ESCAPE. My father would have enjoyed the movie as he was a staunch advocate for civil rights. He never flew after the war as he found it too boring. He also had seven kids to put through college and grad school so he stayed busy. If anybody has any family connection to prison camp, I would be interested. In any event, thanks to the author and the producers for creating an excellent historical piece. my email is rockfinn@gwi.net
