Did any of you suspect the clown/Captain Spaulding as in with the psycho family from the get go?
I did.
But I wondered if anyone else was surprised at the end when it was revealed that he was helping them.

Good points. I didn't think about all that, just thought at first that Baby just hung out looking for victims, but obviously Spaulding directed them to her.
I haven't seen Devils Rejects, I wish they'd put it on (IFC or whatever cable station I saw House of 1000 corpses on).
Yeah, I know he was strange from the get-go, but I just wasn't sure he was working with them.

Of course. I knew he was insane the moment we saw him onscreen. I don't think many people would dress up as a clown and have a whole museum devoted to serial killers and monsters unless they were a little bit on the crazy side (or at least not a clown in a horror movie). Then later on when we were introduced to the rest of the family I knew he must've been related to them somehow, I just didn't know exactly how until The Devil's Rejects.
