Complete lack of restraint

This movie displays a complete lack of confidence from the director. The relentless pace doesn't invoke a feeling of terror as much as it makes you think the director is afraid what he's doing isn't working.

Duly noted for a movie that came out 11 years ago and actually filmed long before that.

It was his first attempt at filmmaking so if that's true it would be easy to see why if he wasn't quite sure what he is doing. The best way to learn how to do something is to actually practice doing it, after all.

I think this might be a fair assessment. I only wish you gave an example or just spoke a little more about this.
