Only Mamet can build such suspense... and finish it so badly

What is wrong with Mamet? He is only good for the first half of the movie.

A masterful suspense builder of a story with twisted plot. You never can trust that what you see is what actually happens, it is very deceiving and I like it. Always trying to guess and to understand, and the strange dialog really makes it even better.

But then, when it is time to end the story, to bring it all to solution, things are starting to collapse. Nothing make sense, the plot is getting silly and predictable, everything is getting out of control and crashing into big mess.

And this happens again and again, what a waste.

I do not know Mamet and his other movies but this I do agree with it got very strange at the end first you think leaving with him is a con in and of itself then she ends up leaving with the other guy. Only thing I can think of is that he is looking to leave some things unanswered but why? You do not need to keep open the idea of a sequel unless you are making a philosophical piece and are trying to say that life is not left with all the loose ends cleaned up. I do not know but it got a little out of hand at the end but I do like the truck pulling away revealing that he indeed think of everything. I mean that is how someone who would really be in that business and never get caught would have to do think of every angle.
