He (along with johnny knoxville and jeff tremaine) is one of the creators of the show.
Yeah I knew that he was a creator, but I didn't know he was in it...though I'm positive he was in the first episode of the second season; Johnny Knoxville mentions him by name (After Jonze kicked him in the crotch lol).
