Interesting comment about end (spoiler)

We never find out if Sam L jackson really salvaged his marriage or not, it is left ambiguous BUT... He blamed Ben Affleck for making him late to that custody dispute and wanted his metaphorical "20 minutes" back, he blamed Ben for his being late.

The BEST he could have hoped for would be partial custody of the kids, his wife would still have divorced him. Her CONSIDERING giving him another chance, which I think she did tentatively gives him better odds than any result could have in that courtroom especially with his past of alcoholism and the fact that most judges side with the mother. Even IF things ultimately do not work out Ben Afflecks "debt" is more than paid, so it almost does not even matter to the story.

I love how instead of having some horrible ending where they both kill each other or end up destitute they both became better people and forgave each other. They did not exactly become friends but they ended not enemies and they both helped each other salvage their lives, so it had a semi happy ending.

I like that there was some good morality in this and they became better people and learned some lessons. Too many movies that does not happen.
