William Hurt 'You're addicted to chaos man.'

Who else loved William Hurt's monolouge, the way he deliver's is really one of the best in recent history IMO.
Don't worry, I saw Lord of the Rings. I'm not going to end this 17 times.

Far from it; if this was real life, then Hurt's outburst would probably send Jackson straight to the bar, the last place he should be. If these idiots are going to portray the business of Alcoholics Anonymous, then they need to realize that once an alcoholic gets sober, it is a matter of life and death and nothing to be trivialized. "Addicted to chaos" is psychobabble. Alcoholics do not have a "drug of choice", or they would be called something else instead of alcoholics.

Are AA leaders really that committed to their volunteer work to actually come out to members at the drop of a hat on a street corner at night just to have a go at them for NOT drinking?! Seems a little far fetched.

He was Jackson's character's sponsor. That's exactly what sponsors are for - to reach out to when you need them. Didn't he come to bail him out of jail?

Great dialogue in a great film.
