STOLEN QUOTE FROM 'OUT OF SIGHT'!

Anyone notice that in this movie there's a line taken almost verbatim from Clooney's movie 'Out of Sight'?

changing lanes (2002):

Its like seeing someone for the first time... you know passing them on the street. And you kinda look at each other for a few seconds, like a recognition. Like you both know something. And the next moment the person is gone. And you always remember it, it was there and you let it go. And you think What if I had stopped? What if I had said something. What if...

out of sight (1998):
It's like seeing someone for the first time, and you look at each other for a few seconds, and there's this kind of recognition like you both know something. Next moment the person's gone, and it's too late to do anything about it.

I can't remember that line in the movie...I do remember Affleck saying about being on a beach and wanting to leave with a pretty girl though...Was kinda the same metaphor...

The lines you posted are NOT in the movie "Changing lanes". I think I know which scene you`re referring to, it`s the final scene with Affleck and Jackson in the office, but what Affleck is actually saying, is totally different and is definetely NOT stolen from "Out of Sight"! Sorry man, but that`s just not true!

hey, i noticed it as soon as i saw changing lanes and then i looked up the scrpits online. trust me, it's true!

That whole monologue is so similar to a famous bit from 'Citizen Kane,' I assumed it was an homage.

"A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl."

yeah, whatever.

Someone misquoted this quote to Changing Lanes. I have the entire script of Changing Lanes in a textfile. I thought it to be pretty weird, so I took some time and tried to look it up...

Nothing whatsoever: I tried to let notepad search for parts of the quote, nothing... The whole word 'recognition', for example, isn't used even once in the whole movie...

I'll notify IMDB for the misquoting. Sorry mate, bad info!

Those two lines are different.
