Sorry If This Has Been In a Thread Somewhere, but...
I don't feel sorry for Sam Jackson's character at ALL. He whines and complains that Ben Afleck's character ruined his life because he wouldn't give him a lift. He wants his "20 minutes back". In reality, his lifetime of bad choices has led him to court that day. It wasn't Ben's fault that he was late. True, the guy was a jerk, and didn't give him a ride. But I would think if the custody hearing was THAT important to Sam, he would leave WAY earlier than necessary to account for anything that may keep him along the way. He didn't. Just another bad choice on his part. He should start with the man in the mirror.
