Once guilty pleasure, now one of my favorite films
I really hate when people use the term guilty pleasure to discribe a film. If you like the film, if you have fun, if it makes you smile and enbarc on an emotional ride.. then why not consider it a good movie?
I used to feel ashamed of liking this movie because in my adolescent mind at the time good movies were artistic ones. Kubrickian, Bergmanesq, Woody Allen alike. But then I said fuck that. I fucking love the girl next door for the characters, the laughs and even the filmaking aspects which ive come to enjoy over the years. I think this film would easily rank my top 10 favorites
