Blood Spatters

I really like this movie, but why are there so many moments where its just blood spurting everywhere. I get it that QT's thing is excessive gore, but KB took it to an almost anatomically incorrect level. It really did distract a lot from what is otherwise an excellent picture.

You clearly watched a movie you shouldnt have. These kinds of movies require it to have gore. It sertantly wasnt excessive or incorrect. If anything it needed more gore and for the scene in bkack and white to be released in full colour.

I'm not saying i'm offended or anything, just that I know for a fact that the body doesn't work like that.

It comes from the movie Lady Snowblood (And other Japanese cinema), imo. A lot of Kill Bill is an homage to that movie, including the blood scenes.

Ah, that makes sense.

It's mostly done as a hommage to Japanese aesthetics. It's not claiming to be anatomically accurate at all. I recommend films like Lady Snowblood (1973) and the Female Prisoner Scorpion (1973-74) series as well as anime like Ninja Scroll (1993), which are major influences on Kill Bill, to better understand where Tarantino took his inspiration from.
