As a film lover I'm embarrassed to say I just saw this last week...I never knew Sandler could act in a "regular" film! Plus, like many PTA movies I loved the plot. I just can't recall much about this film when it came out or seeing it HBO of Showtime through the years. Granted around the early 2000's was probably not my greatest film period as I was far too busy but still...

So 14 years later I'm a little sad Sandler never got a chance to really act in another "regular" film. I'll be honest I've not been the kindest to him through the years for his movies and acting but I really saw something different here (yes he did have his usual fits of rage at times but with those sisters who wouldn't). Kinda feel bad for him, actually. He can really do better.

Some people hate the music but I thought it just fit with the rather goofy nature of the plot and main character.

Anyways a forgotten film IMHO. And underrated.

You should watch the drama film Reign over me starring Adam Sandler and don cheadle. Sandler is great in that. He should of been nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of a man who becomes delusional and withdrawn from reality after losing his family in the 9/11 attacks.
