the Shut Shut Shut scene for me it the only part of the movie that seems a bit false. But truly, the whole film is my favorite scene. Despite the one false note for me this one is a complete gem.

The Mattress Man commercial always puts a smile on my face. Philip Seymour Hoffman is absolutely priceless.

Lamperer -- you bet! I absolutely loved that scene .. the blonde bullies get busted by Barry :-)

My favorite scenes were when he got paged by his employees over and over again "Larry, your sister on line 1" about twenty times during the movie, but it was funny the way it was done and seeing his reaction to each and every phone call :-)

I also liked it when he kisses Lena at her appartment and says ''bye bye'' , then he repeats it to himself and hates himself for it ... hilarious.

When he was on the payphone with his sister in Hawaii. I loved how he finally asserted himself (even if it was over the phone).

That was the point Barry stopped being a passive-aggressive gimp and just went for it.

Dear Ndugu, how are you? I am fine.

My favorite scene is as he is introduced to Lena by his sister. The soundtrack grows loud, the employees keep crashing the lift, the conversations keep changing, and I keep stressing the hell out.

There's one simple explanation: David Lynch is bananas.

The bit where he phones her in Hawaii, as she answers the light goes on in the phone booth. I have no idea why I like that so much. The whole film is amazing though, really beautiful.

Yeah that was my favorite scene too... Would have been nice if he had bashed up the mattress man similarly at the end
