Who else had a thing for Cleo as a kid?

I mean hot damn, for a cat chick she is fine. I do have a thing for catgirls and so do the Japanese.

I did not have a "thing" for anyone fictional as a kid... yes, I was weird like that.

It was her with Cheetara and M'ress from Star Trek that began my catgirl fascination

I did then and I still do now. What a sexy cat! She reminded me of Apollonia, who was the love interest in Prince's "Purple Rain" movie. And Riff Raff was Danny Devito to me for some reason.

Isn't it funny how they got away with hot felines back then? i mean you had her, mutated Catwoman in the Tyger Tyger episode of Batman the animated series (remember the one where she got turned into a REAL cat-woman?), Kit Mambo on Animalympics, M'ress from Star Trek TAS, Jenny on Bucky O'Hare, Mirage on Aladdin the series, Kitten kaboodle from Talespin, Callie Briggs and Ann Gora on Swat kats, Cheetara, Pumarya etc. were all hot ain' i right?

80's and 90's was the golden age for furrie cartoons and she was one of the top gateway characters.

Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name. ;)

Tyger tyger was a great episode.

reply

That's one of my fave episodes.

Hey Pendreck, did you too thought Selina in that episode looked quite hot just like Cleo and those cat chicks i mentioned? i did when i was 11 when that show aired and i adore Catwoman since 89 in comics, movies and shows and dig her no matter how she looks.

Yes. She was hot. Also cheetara.

reply

Haha, I sure did. One foxy feline. Too bad I hear she died in 1997 :(

reply

She was kinda hot for a cartoon cat.

I love her leotard+legwarmers+80s hair look. XD Cartoons like this are responsible for plenty of furries, I'm sure.

I'm a girl, and as a kid I actually had a crush on Wordsworth. He was one of my first animated crushes, along with Basil of Baker Street and Darkwing Duck. I distinctly remember making my mom call up every Toys 'R' Us around and ask for Heathcliff merchandise...which, sadly, never turned up anywhere. I wanted a Wordsworth plushie so bad, haha. Guess they never existed. ;; He, Cleo, and Hector were my faves. And I loved Riff-Raff's hat. And the junkyard. It's so awesome that StarzEncore Family is showing this, Inspector Gadget, and Sonic the Hedgehog every weekday afternoon!! I've got Heathcliff set to record now. Couldn't believe it when I saw him on the guide. And speaking of fat orange cartoon cats, it'd be amazing if they decided to air Garfield & Friends as well!
