Last I checked Elbow's couldn't talk, but what the f-ck do I know?

Indeed. Last I checked, plural's don't take apostrophe's.

I'm not black, but I've spoken to one or two. As an American who likes to think he has an ear for accents, I was floored when I heard he was English. I can't testify as to the authenticity of his regional Baltimore accent, but he had this native New Yorker fooled.
