The Wire in pop culture

I think one of my favorite parts of being addicted to this show is how actors from this show tend to be put together in other mediums of entertainment.

A few examples I have are:

The Super Bowl commercial for the Prius that has the Frank, Nick and Ziggy Sobotka in a car chase (and that's a series of commercials they landed)

Lester and Daniels are in John Wick as people that help him.

Most recently, McNulty and Stringer Bell were cast in Finding Nemo 2 as buddies of some sort.

Can anyone else think of other places they've seen cast members being inserted into other jobs together?

It was a short scene but Michael b Jordan ( Wallace) and wood Harris ( Avon)

Were in Creed together

Also in Gone Baby Gone, Amy Ryan ( Beadie Russell) and Michael k Williams ( Omar). Were both in that but didn't have any scenes together

Also just watched the Shaft remake with Sam L Jackson

Andre Royo (Bubbles) and Kima are both in that movie as well....but no scene together.

The actors who play Daniels, Bodie and Carver all played on the HBO series Oz, before The Wire.

It was mentioned on an episode of The Office by Michael Scott.

Ryan: Guys. I think my friend Troy might have a drug problem. What do I do?

Dwight Schrute: I think his species might have a higher tolerance than ours.

Michael Scott: Shh. Just-- stop. Here's what you do. You tell him, that you're his friend and that you're going to help him and that everything's going to be alright. [pause] And then you put a wire on him, and you find out who's selling him, drugs, and then, you get that and you flip him. Turn him into a snitch. You follow that guy, to people really, really bad.

Michael Scott: [to camera] Been watching The Wire recently. I don't understand a word of it.

Rawls is McNulty's father in law on Showtime's The Affair.

Daniels is Marlo Stanfield's boss on Amazon's Bosch

Very nice find.

Rawls being McNulty's father in law gives me a good laugh

Carver, Dennis "Cutty" Wise and D'angelo Barksdale on The Walking Dead.

And this was probably my favorite, even though the movie That Awkward Moment was not that great, but this blooper was hilarious. It is during the ending credits
