This is, without a doubt, the most underrated movie of all time. Lost in the midst of blockbusters, Master and Commander makes all other period movies bow in humble adoration. PERIOD.

shareI agree - this movie is indeed a Masterpiece - I did not realize this the first time I saw it though. Maybe it's one of those movies that people "discover" over time and eventually finds a more deserving place in movie history.

shareThis is an excellent movie, one of Russell Crowe's best. I watch it every time it comes on and I find it. (and I'm a woman!) In the end, it's a movie about friendship.
