Your own LXG set within your own genre settings of your choice?

League of Extrordinary Gentlemen

Action adventure set in the late 19th century, featuring an assortment of fictional literary characters appropriate to the period, who act as Victorian Era superheroes! Drawing on the works of Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, Bram Stoker, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, H. Rider Haggard, Ian Fleming, Herman Melville, Oscar Wilde, Robert Louis Stevenson, Edgar Allan Poe, Gaston Leroux, and Mark Twain etc. Taking Allan Moore's concepts what would you do if you could form your own League from whatever genre to make your own inspired superhero/legaue group of heroes. Or villains for that matter!

Mine's would be the following, based on the pulp action heroes comics and whatnot.

League of Extrordinary Pulp Action Heroes

Version 1

Members

1) Doc Savage (Team leader)

2) The Phantom (second in command)

3) The Shadow

4) Rocketman/Rocketeer

5) Flash Gordon

6) Blackhawk (And his squadron)

7) Mandrake the Magician (partnered with Lothor)

Or

Version 2

1) Doc Savage

2) The Phantom

3) Mandrake The Magician & Lothor

4) Tarzan

5) Rocketman/Rocketeer

6) Red Sonja ('Time displaced' into the pulp era world of these heroes etc.)

Figure any genre setting for your own league would do, i choose the pulp genre cos those characters fasinate me somewhat. You could however go with a; sci-fi setting, medieval, sword & sorcery, crime noir, military, fantasy etc.

I'd like to see an LOEG story set during the Napoleonic wars featuring the following team:

The Team:

Horatio Hornblower
Richard Sharpe (Sharpe)
Duncan MacLeod (Highlander: The Series)
Jack Aubrey & Steven Maturin (Master & Commander)
Emilia Rothschild (Jack of all Trades)
Ethan Gage (Ethan Gage series)

The Villains/Antagonists:

Vandal Savage (immortal DC Comics villain)
Prince Yongxing (Temeraire)

I'd love to see your idea as an actual series.

Kind of a low budget version, but as a fan of eighties television I've always kinda wished someone would write something like this that brought the various action heroes of the era together. The A-Team, MacGyver, Magnum, the crew of Airwolf, maybe Tubbs and Crockett.

That man is playing Galaga! Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did.

Sweet, nice to see folks have ideas of their own for this old thread of mine and have continued it with your own concepts!

'80s TV:

B.A. Baracus (The A-Team)
Michael Knight (Knight Rider)
Ham Tyler (V)
Luke Duke (The Dukes of Hazzard)
Colt Seavers (The Fall Guy)
Rick Hunter (Hunter)

This means they get to have 3 awesome vehicles - KITT, the Gen. Lee, and the A-Team van.
