WAVE 103: Two weird things

Two weird things I noticed while listening to WAVE 103 (the new wave radio station):

1) Adam (The DJ) has his rant about music videos ("I've had it with these abbreviated operas for the modern world!"), and says something to the effect of: "Here's a song that laments this situation". He then plays A Flock Of Seagulls' "I Ran (So Far Away)", which has nothing to do with music videos. Does anyone think when they wrote Adam's intro, he was going to play The Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star", but for some reason it got moved to Flash FM (the pop station), and nobody noticed that the intro no longer made sense? Because I do.

2) This could be a deliberate joke to show how pretentious and self-promoting Adam is, but he says he'll only play the underground hot tracks, then plays Gary Numan's "Cars", a #1 hit and from seven years ago (in the game's time)!

Wow, those are good catches. I've also always noticed that on VCPR, Maurice Chavez calls Michelle "Melissa" one time...I don't know if this was a mistake or if it's intentional...

I have no enemies. I don't permit such a thing.

Never noticed that. I'll have to look out for it, but it sounds to me like a mistake, if he only does it once.

Maybe he was referring to the music video of "I Ran (So Far Away)" cos it's a bit over the top and crazy in its own, probably not a common thing at the time.

A Flock of Seagulls were known for their hair - dubbed as ridiculous. Just look it up
