Remake this game with today's tech

This was the first GTA game I finished and I am still so nostalgic. The other day I bought a copy thinking I'd replay it for old time's sake. I had no idea the controls were so different and sluggish. On top, the graphics were so outdated and 'blocky.'

I get it - the game was evolving and the technology wasn't there in 2002. The point is I am so used to the gameplay and look/feel of later editions that I couldn't play it and stuck it in a drawer.

Too bad they couldn't do a clean-up of this version because the story, the music, the setting, and the characters are IMO the best in the series.

I always preferred GTA 3. But this a great game. But I agree about the controls. Even with San Andreas. It's mostly the shooting that's the problem. I don't mind the graphics.

This was my least favorite of the 3D GTA's but I would like to see them return to this city with a bigger map.

With mods, this game looks amazing and runs perfectly smooth at 2160p 4K.

Played on a PC at 1280 X 1024 with free aim rather than auto aim the game plays very well and it looks beautiful. I think GTA Vice City is a masterpiece. The game itself, the voice acting, the radio stations, the humour, everything is very well done.
