Yes, I must say that this is the only anime I have ever re-watched. Good times. Very dramatic as well. Just as much comedy as there is drama, and not cheesy either!

I stumbled onto the manga, and have gone on to the anime and live action. I would have to stay it is the best storyline Period ive seen/read, and highly reccomend it. The characters are all heartwarming to the point of seizure.

You should try School rumble (first season), the characters were just as well done, heartwarming as GTO and even funnier!

Its a great anime and I liked the original live too but I felt the anime told a far better story then the manga which I really didn't like and found annoying in some places because with the manga it ran on too long, storyline lost focus almost all the time and had too many characters added in other words too much junk was added.

I liked how in the anime there was a far more human depiction of Onizuka not to mention much funnier and far, far, far more believable as a teacher. Also they did everyone better too and no characters were really neglected. Also much was left out from the manga which was actually to good effect.

I despised the 2012 live action it was really a load of garbage.

Best telling of the GTO Story is the anime by far with the original live action starring Takashi Sorimachi in 2nd place.

For me is the 2nd best anime comedy the first is gintama you or whom reads this thread should watch it you'll enjoy it without a doubt and it has some epic fight secne and others things.
