No Way Home Risks Ruining Spider-Man 2’s Perfect Ending For Doctor Octopus

By bringing Alfred Molina's Doc Ock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: No Way Home retroactively ruins the ending of Spider-Man 2.

I didn't love that ending. He beats the shit out of Peter then just kills himself. I always preferred Spider-Man 1.

I'm with you. Personally, I like Doc Ock being an unsympathetic villain. Like in Spectacular Spider-Man#75 and 76 where he tries blowing up the city with a radioactive bomb and also severally hurts Black Cat. This makes Spider-Man get so mad he tears off all of Doc Ock's tentacles putting him in well deserved excruciating pain.

One of the problems with multiverses....

How??? In No Way Home (SPOILER!!!) He helps the 3 Spider-Men. He also has that great moment with Tobey Peter where they catch up. He gets a happy ending in No Way Home too.
