Was it always griffiths plan to sacrifice the band of the hawk from the beginning
Was he feigning ignorance over not knowing what the behelit's purpose did he know it had to be close friends/loved ones he had to sacrifice was and did Guts leaving the band force him into this line of action which he may not have done otherwise.

I have read up to date from where the show left in the menga so i dont know if I missed something in the menga I havnt read ect or is it just all conjecture because obviously he always says it was his dream to accomplish it no matter what how many pawns he sacrifices

Of course it wasn't his plan from the beginning. Do you think Griffith deliberately allowed himself to get captured, tortured and crippled? The God Hand manipulated Griffith at his lowest ebb in order to fulfill his destiny. Griffith was doing a fine job of winning his own kingdom until Guts left the Hawks and he went into self-destruct mode. This entire sequence of events was preordained to happen as part of causality.

To Griffith the behelit was just this curious, lucky charm that he had kept with him. He didn't know its true nature until it was revealed at the Eclipse.

Yer I obviously knew he didnt get captured on purpose thanks for your answer I just wanted to know if he was planning to sacrifice band of the hawk all along

Even though I'm super late to the reply, long story short "no" he didn't, but the creator of the manga removed a chapter when Griffith was transforming where he met "God" who said he's been manipulating Griffiths life and his ancestors for this very moment and he will decide what happens to the human race, its the lost chapter, #82
