On January 19th, R&B singer AI, actor Iwanaga Hiroaki and comedian Kendo Kobayashi attended a preview event for the movie, “Berserk Ougon Jidai-hen I: Haou no Tamago“, at the Shinjuku Balto 9.
AI, who sings the film’s theme song “Utsukushiki Mono“, commented, “I thought about whose feelings I should write about. My personality is rather gutsy, so I was able to relate to a lot of things. That’s why when my song played in the film, I was moved. Out of all my songs, I had a hard time singing this one, so I’m glad I did my best.”
After the event, AI performed “Utsukushiki Mono” in front of an audience for the first time. Hearing AI’s powerful voice, Kendo Kobayashi expressed, “This is the finishing touch.”
“Berserk Ougon Jidai0hen I: Haou no Tamago” is the movie adaptation of Miura Kentaro’s popular manga series, “Berserk“, and is the first of the “Berserk Saga Project“. It is scheduled to open in theaters on February 4th.
