Confused about the ending

So all those people were real, except the conjoined twins weren't really conjoined? How does that make sense but the giant does exist?

Yes all the people were real, the events all happened, just not necessary in the way Edward told them. He would enhance the story, embellish certain aspects of it for entertainment.

Wombstar got it perfectly. If you remember in the scene where Will goes to visit the older Jenny, she tells him the story of how Edward left after saving the town and she became old and lived in the house all alone and people started spreading stories that she was a witch that lived there, ultimately revealing herself as the "witch from Edward's story. Will says something like, "Logically that wouldn't make sense because the witch my father talked about was old when he was a kid." And Jenny responds something like "It's logical if you think like your father." Edward just took all true stories, people, and events, and just spun them into a web of magical tall-tales.

its the same as the giant Karl wasnt as giant at the end. It was all truth but with a little bit of exageration/ magic added to them?

reply

I really cant see how you were confused as other people have said it was all real with a bit of embellishment to make it more entertaining
