Why was Jimmy's last name changed from Marcus to "Markum" for the film?
What's the story behind that?
shareWell, if I had to guess one reason it'd be that in Boston, people go by their last names and in this film, it's no different... So, instead of maybe confusing SOME viewers with Marcus, Eastwood changed it.
BUT, if you look the surname up, it has to do with being the "Head" of an Area or District. I'm probably wording it wrong but I'm sure you get the correlation.
