He had the guy’s woman and brother at his mercy. Just tell La Voz to drop Pita off at home within the hour or he starts dismembering them.

Indeed. While I like the idea of Greasy sacrificing himself at the end, it didn’t make any sense for him to do so. Bad writing.

1) he was dying , he didn’t have a lot of time to negotiate
2) he had already shot the brothers fingers off, if he didn’t give himself up then they might cut Pitas ear off to make things even

In an alternate ending it turns out Creasy had a butt bomb and detonated it as soon as he was in the room with the voice. Took him out Hector Salamanca style.
