Favorite to least favorite characters, and why...

Favorite to Least favorite.

Dana Fairbanks: Obvious. Dana was funny, cute, interesting, quirky and a little awkward. I like her storyline, and found her relatable. Maybe some of the Dana love is because she died too soon (and too quickly) but I loved Dana, like most fans.

Bette: I got very annoyed with Bette, but I felt like she was a complex and strong character. She wasn't perfect, but I genuinely enjoyed watching her.

Alice: Alice is funny. That's it. She could be annoying, and crazy but she's funny so I had to put her towards the top of the list.

Helena: If you didn't count the second season when she was a rich bitch who treated women like property I would put Helena at number 2. She's kind, funny and super hot.

Shane: Shane is Shane. She is a big part of the show, I don't quiet understand her adoration but she is a likable character.

Max: I really like Max. I realize he is not a popular character, and I wish he had been written better but I enjoyed Max (except when he was going testosterone crazy).

Kit: Oh Kit... Sometimes I wonder what the point of you being featured so much was? Eh, you are portrayed by Pam Grier...that's enough. It was annoying how stereotypically black you were often played...oh well, "Gurlll...."

Jenny: I know, I know. Why isn't she at the bottom? Well, Jenny is easily the most interesting, yet enraging characters. Plus she's played by Mia Kirshner who I find super duper hot and talented.

Carmen: Carmen is a bitch. She's rude to Max, and has a streak of mean girl in her blood. I felt like because she was hot she got a lot of attention, but looking back she was not a nice person.

Tina: God. I just don't like Tina. I don't know why exactly, she's not a horrible person. I just find her super annoying.

Does anyone know who Marcy is? It says she was in season 1 episode 6,7, and 8. I've watched the episodes but can't figure out who she is.

Had to google it. She is the young woman from Nevada who is going to have a baby and Bette and Tina want to adopt it. Marci's parents are against her giving the child to a gay couple. Marci decides she will do it anyway, but then she and the baby never showed up on the bus. Tina even gets on the bus to see if she fell asleep or something.

Kit's character had a good start but I think the writers got lazy after the first few seasons and dumbed her character down. In earlier seasons she was more multidimensional.

My Top Three I Love:

Alice: Comic relief, likable, though sometimes a little bit of a big mouth, but that's why I like her. When she tells Jenny off after Jenny writes the story about all of them, and compares herself to Monet....Alice: "Wait he's talking to me too... so weird...ok I'll tell her. He said don't ever *beep* compare yourself to him again!

Helena: I hated her the second season? Whichever season she came, but she became really really likable and funny as the seasons went on and I found myself loving her!

Shane: One of the most likable characters despite some of her actions.

----

Dana: I really liked Dana but didn't like how easily she was influenced by others.

Bette: I like Bette and hate her sometimes - she's one of the most stubborn people ever, so controlling but she is still interesting to watch.

Marina: She was kind of weird/stalkerish, but I miss her after the first season.

Kit: I liked her.

----

I HATED Carmen - so annoying.
I honestly hated Jodi too.
And I really didn't like Tina - she was the most BORING character ever! She hardly had a personality, she was never funny or interesting - I feel like she was always sighing and sitting down in chairs/beds the first few seasons. She was just... there.

I never understood Jenny - her character was always very...stupid to me. The whole 'writer' storyline was so amateur to me, her writing was embarrassing... and then to devote a whole season on her story becoming a movie was just too much. In the later seasons I feel like the writers made her more of a caricature than an actual character - it was so over the top, even though it was funny!

JENNY IS MY FAVE! I know that is an unpopular opinion but Mia did such a fantastic job with a largely unlikeable character (although I always loved her right up until that terrible last season) that I really couldn't help but love Jenny!

Probably say Dana and Alice as a tie next, they were so cute together and I loved both of their characters individually as well. Those would be my top 3.

Alice-my fav---
--refreshing-sense of humor-caring
Bette-strong-family oriented-her love for Tina (don't like the fact that she cheated)
Kit-her support for the gay community-her love for her sister-Bette
Helena-at 1st I did not like her character-grew to love her and her support for her new gay family
Pappi-entertaining
Tina-her love for Bette

Least fav:

Jodi-her childish behavior towards Bette
Jenny-a mix confused individual -I jus wanted to choke her
Carmen-self centered

Cybil Sheppard and Jane Lynch were a delight to watch also loved Holland Taylor

I just finished watching this series for the 1st time on Amazon Prime-truly enjoyed it.

My fav's are

Bette **** She is flawed & real like she loves to please , takes control and takes care of her family all while being beautiful

Shane we basically have the same type of back story , loyal friend she ride or die

Dana is sooo sweet don't know how someone wouldn't like her

Helena always liked when she appeared on her first episode in season 2 from her stance on wanting to help underprivileged people and her love for her kids

Max and Tina they where not my cup of tea
