I miss the L word

I'm not a slim beautiful lesbian but I am still impressed with the authentic emotions and situations (excluding almost anything with Jenny) that this show had. I think the most erotic scene ever was with Bette and (oops, forgot her character) in jail. Who thought so much steam could be generated between a woman and a cement wall?
And the scene in when Tina found out about Bette's affair and they fought and *beep* That was so real.
Oh and being a big Joan Armatrading fan. I love the scene where Tina seduces Bette to Love and Affection.

I really have needed a rewatch and maybe I will after Ally Mcbeal.

I miss it too. I think that they should have just got a new cast or something instead of ending the show.

I guess ou could go watch "The Real l Word" or hope they drop the unaired "The Frarm" pilot on Netflix or something. or you could give "Lip service" or "Cucumber" and "banana" a watch or QAF. Also, OITNB

Lip service was also canceled though.

Orange Is The New Black isn't canceled yet, but it's not a show about lesbians. It's a show about women in prison. Sure it has lesbian/bi characters in it, but that's not the point of the show. I watch it, but to me it's nowhere near as good as The L Word or Lip Service were. Orange Is The New Black is more like Weeds which was kind of a terrible show, but I was willing to watch it for the few good moments it had.

I don't think I'll ever see Cucumber or Banana because I don't like British shows usually, and from the looks of them they're about men not women. Same reason I didn't bother to watch American shows like Queer As Folk and Six Feet Under. Simply no interest.

I don't usually like reality shows which is why I have still never watched The Real L Word or Curl Girls. But I will admit I watched Gimme Sugar. It was a reality show about lesbians in LA and the lesbian clubbing scene.

Cucumber and Banana are actually "sister shows" where one links to the other where "Cucumber" focuses more on gay males and Banana on the younger members of the lgbt community (including all colors of the rainbow). Characters from both shows interact etc. But if you aren't into any brittish shows at all then I guess it won't be to your liking. Yeah lip Service isn't around anymore , just thought if you hadn't seen it.

I wouldn't say no British shows at all. Actually my favorite show right now is at least semi-British (Black Sails). I also really liked Sugar Rush and Lip Service.

Thanks. I didn't know that about Banana. I might watch an episode just to see what I think. :)
