Why does everyone hate jenny

I just finished watching the show for the first time and noticed everyone Pretty much Hates Jenny. I thought she was really cruel and insane don't get me wrong but she absolutely made the show. It would have been so boring without her crazy antics. Why does everyone hate her? Besides Bette, none of the other characters are compelling enough to carry their own. So why all the hate? The show started with Jenny and it ended with Jenny full circle! She was crazy but it was so much fun to watch lol

I don't think a character has to be sympathetic to still be entertaining. I may dislike Jenny's personality but I also found she had moments that were very entertaining, i also like to distinguish between Old and New Jenny. I do dislike the character for several reasons, mostly after what I found to be a drastic change in Jenny's behaviour , attitude and
overall character. it felt to me as though she was reimagined to be purpousely unlikeable in many ways, showing traits that felt to me as out-of-character because the transition from old Jenny to new Jenny newer felt like it was handled like a natural progression or proper character development.

Jenny seemingly went from a flawed but engaging character that was the audience's eyes towards the community she was entering, into a charicature of a "Bitch" that got famous, it got to the point where everyone in her social circle detested her enough that they were all potential killers in the series failed murder mystery plot towards the end

i also read that Mia Kirshner that played Jenny was not thrilled with her character's story arc (which I can understand) and illene " killing dana seemed like a good idea" Chaiken, found it odd that Kirschner's legitimate critiques were expressed, lol.

Peace
