Question on Pilot (Spoilers)

I have just bought the first series on DVD. I watched the pilot (first part) that gets to the point where Jenny's boyfriend gives her the engagement ring at breakfast).

Then I went on to watch the first episode of the 1st series and round out that Bette and Tina had split up, Marina attempted suicide and Jenny and her boyfriend had divorced. I think something was definitely missing!

Is it possible that part 2 of the Pilot (not viewable on my DVD) contained all that?

Just found out that the series I bought is faulty. The first 4 episodes are missing and the Season 1 disc 1 actually shows Season 2.

What a pity! I really wanted to watch it. :-(

Did you purchase an official release? Sound like a pretty big error for a genuine DVD edition.

I bought it second hand but I'm sure it was a genuine edition (it's the same on sale on Amazon.it). Yes, I agree it's a pretty big mistake. I went to the shop to change it and had to pick "Everwood" for lack of anything better (erm....).

Do you have Netflix? You can stream the full series.

Yes, Netflix has just arrived in Italy, but the problem is that the faulty DVD spoilt the entire viewing. I'm not sure I want to watch it anymore.
