Did Adele have the intent all along?

The more I watch The L word (which is usually twice a year) the more I can't get my mind off of Adele and her story.

Did she always have the intent to befriend Jenny, infiltrate her life and director status in a sly way, ultimately to take over the film and almost, Jenny's career/life?
We knew something was fishy about Adele when she made up multiple stories about her past that Max blew the cover on. Then she claimed that Shane made her get the Jenny haircut and was later found to be a lie.

Did she always have ill-intentions in mind or do you think she just got lucky and slipped her way through the cracks along the way, moving herself to the frontlines by being sweet, capable and slick?

What are some others thoughts on this? I'm always curious to hear viewer POVs
