That Fae Buckley debate scene.....

Holy sh!t. Makes me cry every single time. Even Fae Buckley seems to realise she's gone too far almost the moment she says it.

The range of emotions on Jennifer Beals' face is like an 8-second masterclass on acting (*bows*)

She really is great, at times I feel her performance made the material she was given better than it was.

Peace!

completely agree, that scene should be part of any fine arts acting program of how to have a range of emotions.

since bette didn't "deal" with tina having a miscarriage, that just brought every emotion stewing to the surface. want to know what it looks like for somebody crack in one fell swoop? there it is.

and yes, i would also agree that the fae buckley character realizes she went to far by attempting to comfort bette.

reply

Is she trying to comfort her or grab the tape? Bette jerks the tape away as I remember.

reply

From what I remember, she jerks her arm away in a "don't touch me" gesture.

You're a sexual Disneyland.

Fantastic scene, even if Bette could be a bitch Jennifer Beals was always phenomenal and that scene was so intense.

reply

That scene was well acted out by Jennifer Beals-you could truly feel the pain based on her reaction-acting.
