Shane and Jenny

I hate that Shane and Jenny hook up. Shane's a player but she has real feelings and loyalty despite messing up. Jenny is just a manipulative sociopath. Even with Tim, she was a sociopath pretending to be the perfect girlfriend.

It was terrible! The whole 6th season was terrible. Who killed Jenny? Who did NOT kill Jenny? Hahaha. But seriously why did they build it up so much and then never reveal how it happened? This isn't a film that left it up to the audience to imagine their own ending. This is a series that made the whole last season hinge on one gimmick; who killed Jenny. Poo poo end to a fabulous show. And on a side note, I really hate the Betty theme song. Everyone I know hates it. It's sandpaper music. No offense to anyone who likes it, but ugh.

there was some talk about making a spinoff on alice and ilene chaiken wrote the entire 6th season as a prequel to that spinoff. if the spinoff had been picked up, then it would have made sense, somewhat, because alice would have been in prison and the new show would have done solved jenny's murder.
personally, i think everything about this show sucked ever since the start of season 4, i was a huge sharmen shipper and was so disappointed in the outcome that i simply hate chaiken for it.

I did hear something about an Alice spinoff but not about her being in prison. I just couldn't see her hurting a fly haha. If I had to pick someone it would be Bette (desperate to stop Jenny from sabotaging her relationship with Tina), Shane (sort of passionately but accidentally), or perhaps Nikki because she just seemed a little void in the soul department amd she was oddly creeping in the bushes. I do agree that the show pretty much went to pot around the end of the fourth season. I know there are some things I liked that happened later but can't think of any examples at the moment. And Ilene Chaiken is kind of a monster. Have you seen the Ilene Chaiken spoof? HILARIOUS!!!

So funny! :))

Yesssss, I hate the theme song too! They changed the opening in the second season, and I literally skipped through the intro in every single episode from season 2 through 6 to avoid hearing that awful song.

Yeah, normally when a band is described as having "a unique sound" it's a complement. For Betty it is not a compliment. They hit harmonies that should be described as anything but. Sandpaper music. That's what I call it and I'm sticking to it! :)

Bette laughing uncontrollably at the premise of them together said all that needed to be said of that abomination.

Bette's laughter made me laugh so much haha

I thought Shane and Jenny made sense. Jenny knew she could manipulate Shane's loyalty and friendship into a relationship. Shane was never into it, but it was hinted several times throughout them living together that the hookup would happen. I'm not saying I liked it - it just was one of the more realistic story lines towards the end.

It could have been awesome if the last season wasn't so horrendous. I always loved Shane and Jenny's friendship and they were adorable at first (although yeah Shane's heart was never really in it) but then Jenny went psychotic which sucked. I would have loved it if they were written to both legit fall fr each other, their friendship/relationship was so cute throughout the show.
