During their angry sex scene in season 1? Bette obviously forced herself onto Tina, but would you consider it rape? At first Tina tries to push her away, but eventually kind of gives in, but I still think it's against her will. I just don't know what to think of that scene, it's amazing, and one of the best acted scenes of the entire show. What do you think?
shareI don´t think so. Tina gave in and did not protest anymore. This is not like in other cases were the victim might be afraid of what might happen if they keep protesting, obviously Bette would never hurt Tina.
I hated that scene though, it was too painful to watch. I also honestly believe Tina overreacted. She should have tried talking to Bette, figuring out what made her cheat, not freak out like crazy. It was clear Bette felt bad about it.
I wouldn't consider it rape. I remember at one point Tina takes Bette's hand and places it where and how she wants it. Despite the painful rawness of that scene, which does it make hard to watch, I thought it was very realistic and well-acted.
